Where do you deliver books?
Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Delivery takes 7 to 14 days, and is free in Kampala and Entebbe on book orders over US$50. See the delivery page for all areas and fees.
Do you sell books by non-African writers?
No. The books section is only for writers from Africa and the African diaspora.
How do I pay?
Place your order and we email you an invoice with a secure payment link. You can pay by card (Visa or Mastercard, in US dollars). Nothing is charged when you place the order.
When can I download my files?
Your files appear in your account under Downloads within one business day of payment, each with a licence certificate.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, with no password. Your account shows your orders, downloads and documents in one place.
How can someone check my licence is genuine?
Each licence certificate has a serial number and a QR code. The QR code opens a public page on baobabonline.net that confirms the licence.
Is there a minimum or maximum order?
The minimum order is US$10, before delivery. The maximum is US$2,000, including delivery.
Can a school order class sets?
Yes. Class sets of 20 copies are listed for common set books at 15% off, class sets of 40 at 18% off, and the Set Books Pack has 20 copies each of four titles at 18% off. For other titles or quantities, contact us for a quote.
Do you have sets for book clubs?
Yes. Book club sets of 6 copies are listed for popular titles at 10% off.
Which file formats do I get with digital products?
Icons, patterns, avatars, illustrations and digital art come as SVG (vector, any size) and PNG. 3D models come as glTF, OBJ and MTL. UI kits come as HTML and CSS with PNG exports of every screen.
Are the UI kits Figma files?
No. They are coded kits: HTML and CSS you can use in a project, plus PNG screens you can place in Figma or any design tool.
Who should buy the team licence?
Companies, schools and studios where more than one person will use the files. It covers up to 10 people and includes extended rights.
How does custom design work?
Choose a commission, place your order and add a short brief. We confirm the brief within one business day and agree the timeline with you, based on the scope of the work. Work starts when we confirm your payment, and two rounds of changes are included.
Who owns custom design work?
You do. When the final files are delivered and paid for, the copyright passes to you. For a commissioned art series you get exclusive, unlimited rights instead.
What is an exclusive edition?
A one-off piece of digital art that is not in any pack. It is sold to one buyer, with an exclusive licence, and is then taken off sale for good.
