Licence for digital files
Every digital purchase comes with a licence. Choose the one that fits how you will use the files. Books are not covered by this page.

The team licence is offered on products priced US$49 or more.
Standard licence
- Use the files in unlimited personal and commercial projects: websites, apps, social media, presentations, packaging, adverts, video and print.
- Change, recolour, crop and combine the files.
- Use them in client work, one client per project.
- Print up to 5,000 copies of a physical item that uses the files.
Extended licence
Everything in the standard licence, plus:
- Products made for sale where the design is a main part of the value, such as T-shirts, mugs, posters, wall art, fabric and phone cases, with no print limit.
- Templates and themes for sale, as long as the files are part of a finished design and cannot be pulled out and reused on their own.
Team licence
Everything in the extended licence, for up to 10 people who work for the same company, school or studio. The licence is in the organisation's name.
Exclusive licence
Exclusive editions are one-off pieces of digital art that are not part of any pack. Each is sold once. The buyer gets everything in the extended licence, for themselves or for one organisation with any number of people. We take the piece off sale when we send the invoice for it, and once it is paid for we never sell or license it again. If the order is cancelled before payment, the piece goes back on sale.
Copyright
Baobab Technologies Limited owns the copyright in every design file sold on baobabonline.net. A licence lets you use the files as set out above; it does not pass the copyright to you. The copyright in the books we sell stays with their authors and publishers, and buying a book gives no right to copy it.
Your licence certificate
Every digital purchase comes with a licence certificate. It shows a serial number, the product, the licence type, the licence holder and the date, and it has a QR code that opens a public page on baobabonline.net confirming that the licence is genuine. Your certificates are in your account under Documents once we have confirmed your payment.
Custom design work
Work we make to your brief is not covered by these licences. When it is finished and paid for, the copyright in the final files passes to you; for a commissioned art series you get exclusive, unlimited rights instead. See the terms of sale.
Not allowed under any licence
- Reselling, sharing or giving away the files themselves, alone or inside another asset pack, library or font.
- Claiming the artwork as your own, or registering it as a trademark or logo.
- Using avatars or portraits to suggest a real person endorses something.
Digital art
Our digital art is made with code and is original to Baobab Online. It is not copied from any artist's work.
